SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:

Learning the skills of a Toolmaker

THE ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE TOOLMAKER APPRENTICE INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO…

1. Learning the skills to become a Toolmaker. Refer to the Tool & Die Apprentice Performance Review document.
2. Complete the necessary schooling requirements.
3. Maintain Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED certification.
4. Keep their work area clean. This includes work benches, machines, and floor.
5. Adheres to all applicable ISO standards, procedures, and work instructions.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports to Toolmaker.

EDUCATIONAL OR SKILLS PREFERRED:

A high school diploma and vocation school experience in related industry. Good Mathematics skills. Possess normal compliment of machinist grade tools and other personnel hand tools. Good mechanical inclination, finger and arm dexterity skills, stand or walk, lift/move 50 lbs are required. Familiar with forklift operation.
